OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULES

The Golden Duck Showdown is a special, limited-entry Suited Deuces tournament featuring five independent tables, each competing for its very own Golden Duck!

Unlike our regular poker nights, tables will never combine. Each table will play its own mini-tournament until one player remains.

Five tables means five opportunities to claim a Golden Duck and earn your way into the Golden Duck Royale!

1. Player Eligibility

To qualify for the Golden Duck Showdown, players must have a minimum of 500 points between July 1, 2026, and November 24, 2026.

Games played at any Suited Deuces venue count toward the 500 point minimum. Players may combine games played across multiple venues to meet this requirement.

All players must meet the minimum game requirement to participate. Eligibility will be verified using Suited Deuces player records.  Suited Deuces will be the sole decision maker on player eligibility.

2. Registration & Player Selection

Participation is limited to 50 players.

Registration opportunities will be awarded through random selections at our regular Suited Deuces game nights.

Players who are randomly selected and meet the eligibility requirements will have the opportunity to register immediately.

The first 50 eligible players to complete registration will receive a seat in the tournament.

An additional five eligible players will be placed on a waitlist.  Waitlisted players will be contacted if a confirmed player drops out prior to the date of the tournament.  Waitlisted players can also come to the tournament and will be awarded a seat at 5:45 if a confirmed player has not checked in yet.

Once all 50 seats and five waitlist positions have been filled, registration will close.

3. Tournament Check-In & Waitlist

5:00 PM — Check-In & Seat Assignments

Registered players must check in at Bambei Brewing and draw for their table and seat assignments.

5:45 PM — Check-In Deadline

Any registered player who has not checked in by 5:45 PM will forfeit their reserved seat.

5:45 PM — Waitlist Seating

Unclaimed seats will be offered to eligible players on the five-person waitlist.

6:00 PM — Cards Fly!

The tournament begins. No additional players will be admitted once play has started.

If fewer than 50 players are present after available waitlist positions have been filled, the tournament will proceed with fewer than ten players at any affected tables.

Tables will not be combined to compensate for unfilled seats.

All five tables will remain independent, and each will compete for its own Golden Duck.

4. Random Table & Seat Assignments

Every player will draw for BOTH their table assignment and their individual seat.

All table and seat assignments will be determined by a completely random draw.

Players may NOT request to sit with friends, family members, or specific opponents.

No accommodations or changes to the random draw will be made, with the exception of known players who regularly require specific seating due to vision needs.

Once table and seat assignments have been finalized, players must remain at their assigned table and seat for the duration of the tournament unless otherwise directed by tournament staff.

5. Tournament Format

5 Independent Tables

10 Players Per Table (Maximum)

5 Golden Ducks

The tournament will consist of five independent mini-tournaments, with a maximum of ten players assigned to each table.

Each table will operate as its own tournament, using the standard Suited Deuces blind structure.

Players will compete exclusively against the other players assigned to their table.

As players are eliminated, tables will NOT combine or consolidate.

Each table will continue playing until only one player remains. No chops allowed.

The final remaining player at each table will be declared that table's champion and will receive one Golden Duck.

There will be five separate table champions and five Golden Ducks awarded.

6. Starting Chips & Bonuses

EQUAL STARTING STACKS

20,000 Chips Per Player

Every player will begin the tournament with exactly 20,000 chips.

To ensure that all players begin on equal footing, the following will NOT be permitted:

  • Add-on chip cards

  • Second Chance cards

  • Food purchase bonus chips

  • Merchandise bonus chips

  • New player or referral bonus chips

  • Any other starting-stack bonuses

All players will receive the same starting stack regardless of purchases, previously earned cards, or other bonuses.

There will be no exceptions to the 20,000-chip starting stack.

7. Eliminations, Re-Entry & Late Registration

This is a single-entry tournament.

Once a player has been eliminated, they are out of the tournament.

Re-entry, rebuys, and Second Chance cards will NOT be permitted.

No late registration will be allowed after cards fly at 6:00 PM.

Players who are eliminated from their assigned table may not enter or join another table.

8. Golden Duck Prizes

The winner of each table will receive one Golden Duck, earning entry into the Golden Duck Royale on February 6, 2027.  All Golden Ducks are NON-TRANSFERABLE.

Players who have already earned a Golden Duck are still eligible to participate in the Golden Duck Showdown.

If a player who already has a Golden Duck wins their table, they will receive an additional Golden Duck.

The Golden Duck will NOT be passed down to the second-place finisher simply because the table champion already has one.  No chops allowed.

Each table will award exactly one Golden Duck to its champion.

9. Tournament Conduct & Final Decisions

All standard Suited Deuces poker rules and player conduct expectations will apply unless specifically modified by these special tournament rules.

Players are expected to respect tournament staff, dealers, and fellow players.

Tournament staff will resolve any disputes or questions regarding tournament procedures, seat assignments, and the application of tournament rules.
